Cookie Policy

How TacApp uses cookies and similar technologies on tacapp.io, gettacapp.com, the dealer admin panel, and the branded customer applications.

Effective: October 21, 2026 · Last updated: October 17, 2026

1 · WHAT THESE TECHNOLOGIES ARE

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage — used by the customer application so that it can work on a phone, including with a poor connection — and session storage.

What this policy covers, and what it does not. This policy covers the technologies TacApp places: on our own websites, in the dealer admin panel, and in the branded customer applications we operate for dealers. It does not replace the privacy notice the dealer gives its own customers, which covers what the dealer collects and why. Where a dealer adds anything of its own to its application, that is the dealer's to disclose.

2 · WHAT WE ACTUALLY USE

PurposeTypeLifetimeCan you refuse?
Keeping you signed in to the panel or applicationEssential — sessionSession, or until sign-outNo — sign-in cannot work without it
Protecting forms against cross-site request forgeryEssential — securitySessionNo
Verifying that a visitor submitting the contact form is humanEssential — security, provided by our network-protection providerShort-livedNo — the form cannot be submitted without it
Remembering interface preferences, such as a dismissed banner or a chosen panel themeFunctionalUp to 1 yearYes — clear site data in your browser
Storing application data on the device so the customer app can load quickly and work offlineFunctional — local storage, not a cookieUntil the app is removed or data clearedYes — clear site data; the app will then need a connection

Push notifications. Where you allow notifications, Apple or Google issues your device a notification token. It is a device identifier, not a cookie, and we use it only to deliver the notifications you or the dealer's settings have enabled. Turning notifications off in your device settings ends its use.

What we do not use. No advertising-network cookies. No cross-site tracking pixels. No third-party advertising or profiling technology in the dealer panel or in the customer applications. We do not use cookies or device identifiers to build a profile of you or to follow you across other websites or apps. If we ever enable aggregate website analytics, this policy will name the cookies it sets and how to refuse them, before it is turned on.

3 · OPT-OUT PREFERENCE SIGNALS

Some browsers and extensions send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control.

TacApp does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing for such a signal to opt out of. We honor these signals where they are applicable, and if we ever introduce a practice they would apply to, we will say so here before we do.

4 · THIRD PARTIES

Security and content-delivery providers process technical data such as network address and request details in order to serve and protect the sites. Payment pages are provided by our payment processors and are subject to their own privacy and cookie terms.

5 · MANAGING COOKIES

You can control cookies through your browser settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and checkout. Clearing site data on a phone will sign you out of a branded customer application and remove its offline data.

6 · CHANGES

We will update this policy when what we use changes.
